We had one of those for the first three years, and it was pretty similar to many we visited - a jumble of recovered furniture tolerated because like-minded people used it.

Now, however! April 1999 saw the opening of the Ramside Golf Club house, and what a magnificent venue it is.

The granite-topped reception desk sets the scene in the spacious reception area. The Director of Golf has an adjoining office, and the Valet Room is adjacent. To the right, as well as our Driving Range, our well stocked shop specialises in Golf Fashion, Accessories, and all the items you'll need for your round, as well as a great selection of crystal, memorabilia, prints and golfing knick-knacks.

To the left, the Conservatory which overlooks the 27th green, offers a large, well stocked bar with fine beers and a wonderful malt collection, a simple golf menu to suit most tastes, and an exteremley comfortable, two-tier lounge with sofas that simply swallow you up after your round.

This is complemented by a further lounge area, and a fully-equipped Billiards Room.

And then there's the locker rooms, the ultimate in luxury, with fine marble, massage chairs, massive lockers and showers that Kielder Water was built o service. Finally there's a Steam Room and Sauna to take away the stresses and strains of your round.
