About the golf club

Opened in 1996, The Ramside Golf Course has quickly established itself as one of the North East's Top Courses. Attached to the 4 star Ramside Hall Hotel, we have a great venue for Corporate and Society Golf as well as Play and Stays. For that extra special Play and Stay, then the Ramside Farmhouse, situated just next to the 11th green, and sleeping up to ten people is simply fantastic!

With 27 holes, the course offers different combinations for group organisers to tailor make their days. With a large, friendly Clubhouse, 16 bay Driving Range and practice areas, it's no wonder that visitors feel so welcome.

The Clubhouse

The Clubhouse is magnificent with a conservatory bar, billiards room, shop, amazing locker rooms, sauna, steam, 16 bay floodlit driving range. The conservatory bar overlooks the 27th or 19th depending on the course of the day.

We serve an excellent menu of snacks, all day breakfasts, daily specials, Sunday carvery is very popular. A well stocked bar is available and service is provided by our friendly staff. Live sport is shown on the plasma tv screens. There is a private members lounge which doubles up as a private dining room.

Everything is here for any type of golfers, our members, the society days, corporate golf and golfing holidays.

Visitor information

We actively welcome Visitors and visiting Parties to Ramside seven days a week, although tee times are not available until after noon on Saturdays and Sundays.

We're sure you'll enjoy playing our course of the day - 18 from our 27 holes - and we'd like to draw your attention to our dress code and in particular that The Ramside is a soft spikes course. Hire of buggies, trolleys, clubs and shoes are all available. It is advisable to book buggies in advance.

Handicaps

Handicap Certificates
Currently Visitors to The Ramside do not have to produce a handicap certificate except when playing in any of our Opens. However we do expect our visitors to have Golf Knowledge and to observe Golf Etiquette at all times.
