The Spa at Ramside COVID-19 Operating Procedures

The safety and wellbeing of our staff, guests and suppliers is our number one priority and it is for this reason we will be implementing and following the current Government Guidelines.

We all have a responsibility to continue to observe these guidelines and therefore no guests, staff or suppliers should arrive at the hotel if they have any of the symptoms of COVID-19.

 

All signage displayed must be read and adhered too.

We have made specific changes to our operation with the minimum of compromise to our guest care and professional service that we provide.

 

Enhanced Cleaning and Sanitisation

  • We have a Spa team who will carry out frequent cleaning using antiviral disinfectant and sanitiser throughout the spa focusing on points of high contact and use. We have automatic doors to the entrances to the hotel, golf club and spa.
  • Where appropriate PPE will be provided to team members and return to work assessments carried out in addition to recorded daily health checks including individual temperature checks which will be recorded confidentially and held by HR.
  • Hand sanitisation stations will be available in all guest public areas and back of house for staff use with instructional signage.
  • Signage will be displayed in the guest toilets and back of house staff areas advising of the correct handwashing procedures.

 

Guest Arrivals

  • Individual sanitisers will be provided in the bedrooms for hotel guests using the spa facilities.
  • Face masks will be available upon request from reception.
  • Spa linen will be thermally disinfected to UK healthcare standards.
  • All areas of the spa will be cleaned using antiviral disinfectant and sanitiser and single use cloths.
  • Ozone generator machines will be used throughout the spa which is a proven disinfectant tool that kills both airborne viruses and those on hard surfaces.
  • Additional checks of the facility using a back lighter.

 

Social Distancing

As mentioned previously it is the responsibility of us as a business and all of us as individuals to follow Government Guidelines with regards to social distancing. This information will be displayed and amended in line with the latest Government Guidelines.

  • Seating and poolside loungers will be repositioned in guest and staff areas to create the recommended spacing.
  • Guest lifts will be used for ascending journeys only and included in the cleaning and sanitising schedules.
  • Perspex screens will be installed at the reception desks and points of sale in the Fusion restaurant.

 

Restaurants and Bars

  • Social distancing measures will be implemented when allocating tables across the restaurants.
  • Plated breakfast will be served.
  • Table reservations will need to be made in advance and dining times adhered to. Bookings should be made on line.
  • Tables will be set out when guests are seated to ensure that all cutlery and condiments are sterilised
  • Menus will be single use.

 

Poolside, Hydro and Thermal Suites

  • Swimming Pool and Hydro Pool to be limited to recommendations from government guidelines regarding social distancing
  • Thermal rooms are open in line with Government guidelines
  • Continuous monitoring of all areas and touch points and regular cleaning in place
  • Lockers and loungers to be cleaned using Ozone generator machine
  • Hotel guests to attend the spa ready to swim

 

Gym and Fitness Classes

  • Gym equipment will be repositions to ensure guests have a safe space to work out
  • Gym capacity will be monitored to ensure no overcrowding and social distance is maintained
  • Regular cleaning schedule to be undertaken by gym staff and all machines cleaned after been used
  • Cleaning wipes to be available to guests to clean down own machines if desired
  • Limited numbers in fitness classes to ensure social distancing can be maintained and equipment cleaned after use

 

Treatments                                                                                                                               

  • Adequate PPE to be worn during all treatments for the safety of staff and customers. Staff will wear masks & visors for all treatments and disposable aprons and gloves when required. Guests will be required to wear a face mask with nail treatments.
  • Room’s will be sanitised between treatments
  • Clients asked to arrive on their allotted treatment time to ensure no congestion in the treatment reception
  • Clients to fill in medical questionnaires prior to arrival to the Spa
  • All beauty tester and trial products will be removed from displays.
  • Clients attending a treatments will be encouraged to shower and change into a fresh clean robe and footwear prior to entering the treatment suite.

 

Our Team Safety                                                                                                                                             

  • A return to work assessment will be carried out prior to staff returning to work.
  • A daily health check will be carried out including a temperature check on arrival, records will be held and stored confidentially by HR.
  • Staff training will be delivered and recorded to include COVID-19 policies and procedures.
  • All staff will be provided with PPE where appropriate.
  • Additional handwashing procedures and records to be introduced to all departments.
  • Shift start times will be staggered within departments.
  • Staff break and meal times will be staggered.

 

Communication

We will deliver accurate and timely information to our staff, guests and suppliers via the most effective platforms including web based, newsletters and in-person briefings and upon any amendment to this document.

Spa Use

Guest's staying with us have access to our brand new Spa facilities, which includes use of our 25m Swimming Pool and state of the art gym, Check-in - Check-out.

Upgrade your stay to include full use of the Spa facilities, including the thermal experience rooms and hydrotherapy pool, purchase a Spa Pass for £30 per person or £50 per couple Per Day.

Children's Pool Times
7am - 9am / 4pm - 6pm Monday - Saturday
7am - 10:30am Sunday

For guests to use the Spa Check-in Friday or Saturday a Spa Pass will be required.

Course Etiquette

Golf Course Dress Code:
Dress must be in keeping with golf course tradition
Men – Slacks, tailored shorts, shirts with sleeves and collars. No denim blue jeans. No board or athletic shorts. No sweatpants.
Women – Sport shirts, tailored shorts, skirts, slacks, skorts. Shirts must have a collar. No denim blue jeans. No sweatpants.
Soft spike golf shoes must be worn

Clubhouse Lounge Dress Code:
Smart, clean and tidy clothes with appropriate footwear
No muddied or wet clothing
No football shirts
No golf shoes or spikes
No caps or hats to be worn inside the Clubhouse lounge

Driving Range Opening Hours & Rates

Non-members are welcome to use the driving range but the chipping, putting and short game facilities are only available to Ramside Golf Club members and golf course visitors.

Driving range balls start from £3 for 25 balls.
