Cathedral Course Notice

Ongoing works may affect play. Please check with us if you have a booking on this course.

We’re excited to share that major improvement works are currently underway on the Cathedral Course. This significant investment by the club marks an important step in enhancing the course for all our members and guests.

As part of the works:

  • The 7th hole will be temporarily closed.
  • The 11th hole will be split into a par 3 and a par 4.

Please note that these arrangements may vary on a daily basis, depending on the progress of the work.

While there may be some short-term disruption, the long-term benefits will be well worth the wait. The end result promises to be a truly outstanding upgrade to the Cathedral Course.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support during this exciting transformation. Stay tuned for further updates as the project progresses!

Ladies golf

The ladies section is a friendly, welcoming group with a real passion for golf – and we’re always happy to see new faces. Our regular playing days are Mondays and Thursdays, with a great mix of social rounds and competitive fixtures, plus additional Pro Shop competitions across selected weekends throughout the year.

We currently have teams in Durham County’s Anderson League Division 2 and Sivewright South, and if you’re new to the club, we can even pair you up with a golf ‘buddy’ to help you settle in.

Whether you’re just starting out or looking for a change, come along for a chat – we’d love to meet you. For more details, contact Kay Graham on 0191 375 3089 or email golfsales@ramsidehallhotel.co.uk.
